How to print

There are two ways to print a document, depending on where you start printing.

Log in to a library/university computer (blue screen): use the printer named ‘Impression’, selected by default.

From any other device (green-screen computer, laptop, smartphone): via the‘myPrint’ online platform.

 Print from a blue-screen computer

ATTENTION, blue-screen computers are accessible ONLY to UCLouvain students and staff.

  1. Open your document or web page.
  2. Select ‘Fichier/Imprimer’ (‘File/Print’), choose file, select the pages to be printed or the two-sided mode, then start printing.
  3. Swipe your card on a copier of your choice (any library copier).
  4. From the PCC menu, select ‘Impression’ (‘Print’). The list of documents sent to the printer is displayed.

    5. Select the documents to print and start printing by pressing the green button on the right of the touch screen or ‘Impression’ (‘Print’) (left-side menu).

Print from a green-screen computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet

It is possible to send a document for printing from a green-screen computer, laptop, smartphone or tablet via connection to the myprint.uclouvain.be. website

  1. Connect to the myprint.uclouvain.be site.
  2. Click the myPrint icon below ‘Imprimer’ (‘Print’).
  3. Enter your UCLouvain username and password and click ‘Login’.
For non-UCLouvain users: use your eight-digit username and four-digit code received by email when creating your account.
  4. In the ‘Webprint’ box, click ‘Choose file’ to select the document to upload and validate.
  5. Select the print settings: ‘Noir et blanc’(i.e.‘Black and White’), ‘Couleur’(i.e. ‘Color’), ‘Recto’ (i.e. one-sided), ‘Recto/Verso’ (i.e. two-sided), ‘Agrafage on/off’ (i.e. ‘Staple on/off’, not available in the Law Library, BDRT).
  6. Click ‘Print’ to confirm.

ATTENTION: This printing mode does not allow you to print web pages. It is therefore necessary to create a PDF document from the web page or to integrate page content into a Word document.
