a corpus-based trilingual terminological database of university-related terms

The Centre, in collaboration with the Instituut voor Levende Talen – K.U.Leuven (Prof. Serge Verlinde), has built a corpus-based trilingual (French - English - Dutch) terminological database of university-related terms (e.g. coordinated research project, foundation year, co-supervision agreement). University terms have been identified automatically using keyword analysis (i.e. analysis of words or clusters that are statistically significantly more frequent in a given corpus compared to a reference corpus). The database, which currently contains c. 2,000 French terms and their English (and Dutch) equivalents, is freely available on the web.
